I’m not even gonna lie, the first time I heard about people selling feet pics online I thought it was fake. Like one of those internet jokes people repeat because it sounds ridiculous. But then you grow up a little, start paying for your own stuff, stressing about money, seeing how expensive everything is, and suddenly the joke doesn’t feel that crazy anymore.
What’s weird to me is how fast people judge it. Somebody says they sell feet pics and everyone acts like society is ending. But nobody says anything when huge companies underpay workers, overwork employees, and still expect people to be grateful for a paycheck that disappears in like three days. That part is somehow acceptable. That’s just life. I don’t know, that’s always felt backwards to me.
I think a lot of Gen Z understands this feeling. Most people aren’t searching how to sell feet pics because they’re evil or lazy or whatever people online assume. Sometimes people are just broke. Sometimes they’re stressed. Sometimes they’re sitting in their room at 2am wondering how they’re supposed to afford rent, food, school, gas, all of it at the same time. The economy feels exhausting honestly. You can do everything right and still feel stuck.
And people really underestimate how hard online income actually is. The internet makes everything look instant. Like you post one picture and suddenly you’re rich. Meanwhile the reality is awkward and inconsistent and full of scams and weird people and trial and error. Most people are literally just trying to figure things out as they go. It’s not glamorous. Half the time it’s probably uncomfortable.
I also think people only judge certain kinds of hustles because they personally feel uncomfortable with them. Influencers sell products they don’t even use every single day. Companies collect people’s data nonstop. Rich people exploit workers legally all the time. But someone selling pictures of their own feet is where people draw the moral line? That reaction says a lot honestly.
At the end of the day, this conversation feels bigger than feet pics. It’s really about money, survival, and how desperate people are becoming for different ways to earn online. A lot of people are just tired of feeling trapped financially. And when people feel trapped long enough, they start looking for any option that gives them even a little bit of control back.
